Over the past several weeks, Tyrese Gibson hasn’t been shy about sharing his unhappiness regarding the upcoming Hobbs and Shaw Fast & Furious spinoff film. When Fast & Furious 9 was pushed back in favor of this spinoff, he was upset at what he saw was an ego move from co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Well, in the time since that’s been announced, it doesn’t sound like he’s calmed down at all.

Here’s what Gibson had to say on Instagram:

“Hello world………. hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe…….. I’m sorry to announce that if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce [sic] – You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours……… close your eyes dude you’re a “Clown”…… #CandyAssBitchMade All my real one…. Men on integrity… my real ones out here stand UP…… folks that GP to the gym and get big naturally #NoJuice #NoOJ spin off huh? Spin off these nuts selfish champ…… pause notice who’s got his arms around my shoulder and who’s standing alone – #OurChildrenMatter”

The Fast & Furious franchise is one that’s been full of drama ever since Fate of the Furious drama leaked out from the set. On the surface, it felt like Johnson was mad at co-star Vin Diesel not being completely professional on set, but it’s a bit hard to tell at this moment.

Do you think Tyrese Gibson will make good on his promise to leave the franchise if Johnson’s Hobbs is in Fast 9? Let us know down below!

    A pissing contest…

  • BKUZ

The series should’ve ended with Paul Walker’s death. They’re all being like divas now.

  • TheFifthIrrelevant

Because people are going to miss the character of Roman….comedic relief is all he was at his best, and even then it was weak. Dude is obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer. The franchise was in a deep spiral before Johnson joined, i doubt they will take Tyrese over him.

  • Venomaide

    Goodbye Tyrese.

  • TheOct8pus

Does he realize these movies are make believe?

  • SaiyanHeretic

I’ve only seen a couple F&F movies and even I can tell that Tyrese brings nothing to the table. He’s the comedy relief, if “comedy” means having stupid, over-the-top reactions to things that aren’t even funny in the first place.

  • Smokescreen85

Get over yourself, Tyrese, you big man-baby!

  • Linus Ekström

The Fast and Furious franchise is without doubt Gibson’s biggest source of income by a long shot, so no way in hell is he going to hold up on this promise. Also, can someone translate the Instagram post to me. Is he mad that the Rock got a spin-off and he didn’t? Did the Rock go after his family? Is it about something with the Rock using steroids? It’s kinda blurry…

    • Derek NOLA

i dont think anyone watching fast and the furious gives a shit about any cast except for vin diesel and michelle rodriguez…

      • Moby85

I actually care about a few others. The Rock being one of them, Ludicris, and also Mr. Nobody.

      • Thomas34

I don’t give 2 shits about Vin or Michelle, I watch these movies for silly action scenes and car chases. None of the characters in the film are that interesting.

  • Moby85

Gloves off – Tyrese Gibson should be happy he’s still around in what is one of the most lucrative franchises in Hollywood outside of Star Wars. This is like the nerdy kid who gets invited to the Playboy mansion. He should be appreciative for every hour they let him on set.

If the franchise can drop anyone it’s him.

*Looks at Box Office numbers after The Rock joins cast*
Well, I’ve got some bad news for you Tyrese.

  • Thomas34

Ha ha! Good I hope he won’t come back, his character is annoying and doesn’t really have anything to add to the story. He’s supposed to be the “comic” relief but he’s just annoying, he won’t be missed.

  • Storymark

“How to commit career suicide, by, uh, that other bald guy in the Fast & Furious movies. No, not him, the other other one.”

  • Alejo Contreras

    Bring Kevin Hart… That’s it.

  • syambo87

The Rock is someone who makes his career… he envisions it and pursues it… from a TV Wrestling Son of a Great Wrestler… he made his name as Number 1 Contender to WWE CHampion… then a Movie Star and a Bankable Name… He may be in some lame ass movies that don’t win oscars… movies that would kill some other actor’s career… but not the Rock…He’ll Continue to Act and Please his fans… The Rock doesnt go to Auditions… he Gets Studios to Make Movies For Him… and thats Badass

Tyrese… like yeah… can be happy flying with so many people on a plane.. not alone.. but the Rock can afford to fly on a Private Plane Alone… If you edit out all the scenes with Tyrese Gibson.. the whole Franchise would still work… He adds nothing to the Franchise… that’s someone who isn’t Grateful and doesn’t see the bigger picture… had he been close to The Rock… The Rock might include him as a cameo in the Spin Off… at least Jason Statham is on Board on the Rock’s Movie.. and maybe it was an idea they both pitched and the Studio Execs liked it…

holy shit – what an ass! So the only way you feed your family is by being a supporting actor in a movie that comes out every what? 2/3 years!
It’s a business, which means it aims to make money, so a spin off with characters that could put ‘candy asses’ in seats is more likely to happen.
I didn’t like or loathe the character he plays, i’m indifferent to him but i liked him more than the actor that played him that’s for sure.
Like i said – what an ass!

  • Behemothrex

Well bye bye Tyrese then I guess. I would sure like to have his problems, but alas I have to actually work for a living down here in the muck with the little people.

So that pretty much confirms he won’t be green lantern (?) xD

This jackass is going to get himself fired. Then he will be broker faster and furiously.
