Ready to see Chris Hemsworth sport some iconic yellow trunks? No? Well, that’s too damn bad, brother, because that’s exactly what he’ll be doing in the near future. THR is reporting that Thor himself will be portraying the iconic wrestler Hulk Hogan in an upcoming biopic.

Taking the helm of the project is Todd Phillips, whose current project The Joker is set to make waves in theaters later this year as the first non-DCEU DC project since Green Lantern flopped into theaters. Joining Phillips as the scribe of the film is Scott Silver, who already joined Phillips in Joker, and who also wrote such films as 8 Mile, The Fighter, and The Finest Hours.

While it hasn’t closed completely yet, Netflix is in the process of closing the deal for the film with Oscar-winning Spotlight producer Michael Sugar spearheading the project. The film is reportedly being described as an “origin story” that chronicles his rise to prominence.

Even if you’re not a wrestler, chances are you know who Hulk Hogan is. Be it in video games, reality TV, movies, or TV, the Hulkster has left an undeniable fingerprint on mainstream pop culture, and it’ll be interesting to see how Hemsworth portrays the character.
